Harp Immersive

SFCM Pre-College student plays harp

Enrich your harp learning over the summer with SFCM’s Harp Immersive for students aged 12-19. Hone your musical skills and connect with other young harpists. During this five-day program, each harpist has solo, master class, and harp ensemble performance opportunities. Harpists get to jumpstart their performance goals with lessons and morning practice intensives followed by afternoons filled with harp ensemble, eurhythmics, and special workshops such as improvisation, practice skills, managing performance nerves, and more. Come join us this summer, collaborate with your harpist peers, and get your harp playing in tip-top shape!

Requirements:
Participants must have previous harp experience, ideally with at least 1 year of instruction. After registration, participants will be asked to send an introductory video so we can get to know both you and your playing. You will share your name, share what you're most looking forward to about harp camp, and play one song.

Sample Daily Schedule

9:30 AM - Morning Practice Intensive and lessons
11:15 AM - Lunch Break 
12:00 PM - Group Welcome Activity
12:15 PM - Harp Ensemble Rehearsal
1:15 PM - Eurhythmics 
1:45 PM - Workshop of the day (Performance Success, Amazing Harp Sound Effects, etc)
2:45 PM - Break
3:00 PM - Master Class
4:45 PM - Closing Circle

  • Evening activities and practice opportunities will be offered for residential students

Guitar Workshop

Participants will study with SFCM guitar faculty and guest artists in this week-long immersive guitar workshop.

Vocal Academy

The Vocal Academy provides an enriching environment where young musicians can focus intensely and creatively to further their musical and theatrical skills and continue to develop their vocal health, technique, and performance abilities

Bass Clarinet Intensive

In this week-long intensive program, participants will work closely with members of the Sqwonk bass clarinet duo and the º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ Francisco Symphony to deepen and broaden their bass clarinet skills.

Harp Immersive

Enrich your harp learning over the summer with SFCM’s Harp Camp for students aged 12-19. Hone your musical skills and connect with other young harpists from the Bay Area.

Introduction to Composition - ONLINE ONLY

Apply the principles of harmony to create beautiful chord progressions, compose amazing melodies and sticky rhythms to play them in your computer, at the piano, or in your preferred music instrument.
